Global partnerships through schools.

I have established a new charity that aims at assisting schools and children in developing countries. I will personally create an investment fund, the profits from which will go to schools in poor countries. Here is whats different. The fund will be overseen by young people from a school in New Zealand. The school in NZ, I have selected is Dilworth, a special school for children from poor backgrounds. These young people will learn about investments and markets, they will help their counterparts in other countries. They will learn that while in NZ terms they come from poor backgrounds, that still makes them among the wealthiest young people in the world.

Everyone wins .The fund will be independent, I will just be an advisor, if they so choose.

The Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is very keen to own the idea and roll it out through the country. Their students will manage the scheme which teaches them the complexities of running a charity and estate planning. They hope to set up similar funds in other schools. They hope to enlist successful graduates in NZ and overseas as investors, mentors and advisors. We believe once the funds are running this idea could have implications internationally and will one day seek to build an international network.
